As Fall arrives, I decided to share some of the things I am hoping to see manifest within the last quarter of the year.
- I am ecstatic about this upcoming holiday. If you love singing “Jingle Bells”, you may want to click the ‘x’ in the top right corner. From nostalgia movies like “Hocus Pocus” and “Halloweentown” give me, to the thrills I receive watching “American Horror Story” and other grotesque films. There is no other way to prepare for this holiday. I cannot wait to see costumes for big events like WEHO (West Hollywood), or finally seeing what Beyoncé has planned for Sir and Rumi. Halloween will forever be a holiday that allows people to express themselves and be whatever they want, even if only for one night. Costumes are an interpretation of what we aspire or desire to be. This holiday is important for my fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community who may not be able to embrace the fullness of their identity any other day of the year. Halloween gives us a pass to be shameless. Make sure your costume is legendary and that you are less trick and more treat.
